The BBC announced to great fanfare this week that the magic of Poldark will be back on our screens (in the UK at least) on June 10th. The long anticipated next run of our much loved Cornish period drama even begins with a sequence that many of Aidan’s Maidens will love!
As if by magic: Poldark goes shirtless again…
This is the series in which Ross becomes a Member of Parliament. His bitter feud with George Warleggan (Jack Farthing) is set to continue but Ross will face another new enemy in the form of rival politician Monk Adderley (played by Max Bennett). And even though the series will see action take place in London for the first time there was still plenty of location filming in the Autumn of 2017 capturing the magic of Poldark here on our doorstep.
Including some already famous opening scenes of Ross swimming shirtless in our clear Cornish waters, in a (welcome) reference to the scything scene for series one.
This season contains 10 episodes and will air every Sunday night at 9pm.
There’s magic down the mines too!
So those of you booked on our tours and holidays this summer will get the full double whammy: the magic of Poldark on our screens and under our feet!
Already proving to be a big hit is our Mines, Miners and Pasties tour – you can add it to any existing holiday booking or join us for an unforgettable day out.
