Cornwall Tours
Poldark's Cornwall
A land of pirates and adventurers, romantics and artisans.
Poldark’s Cornwall is a destination in itself; staying in award winning accommodation and touring in the company of a local expert and engaging storyteller.
Immersive Poldark tours in Cornwall
Since before the Poldark saga revisited our screens, Poldark’s Cornwall has been dedicated to showing you the best of Poldark’s authentic home on the rugged north Cornish coast – where Poldark author Winston Graham actually lived and wrote – as well as throughout the ancient Duchy of Cornwall and beyond.
We show you the very lane where Demelza picked blackberries with her children.
We offer you exclusive access to the private house used to depict Ross’s family home of Nampara.
We take you to every romantic and dramatic location that Cornwall has offered for the current and past screen adaptations.
Examples of our tours
There are basically three geographic areas that cover most of the Poldark’s locations so three days of touring will cover not only these but all the other must-see highlights of Cornwall along the way in that locality. What is not practical is to try and cherry pick from these to make a one day tour because of the topography of the countryside. A quick WhatsApp or Facetime conversation with Karen will help you to zone in on those places most important to see.

Introducing Karen Colam
Karen is not known as “Mrs Poldark” for nothing. Her home overlooks Nampara and she walks on Hendrawna Beach daily with her dogs (neither is called Garrick).
Evidence of the huge mining complex that was Wheal Leisure can be found throughout her home village of Perranporth; the “Sawle” of Graham’s novels and indeed one chimney still stands.
She lives in an old mine captain’s house which was, like Nampara, also a farmhouse and would have been overlooked by a mine where Winston sited his “Wheal Grace”.
